Hi! I am Sara.

I’m a girl who have a huge passion for food, fitness and a healthy lifestyle. I’m born and raised in Finland. I am a CrossFit athlete, nutrition coach and a CrossFit coach. I’m a very adventurous person who love’s traveling, exploring and trying new things. I’m constantly looking for ways to educate myself in health and fitness.

I’m born and raised in a smaller country town called Sipoo in southern Finland, where I spent most of my childhood out in the nature. When I was 28 I quit my day job as an accountant to give myself some time to focus on my own training and moved to Bali, lived the Bali life for 8 months before I got bored of it and needed a change so decided to come to Australia and travel around for a while and work as when needed J and eventually I ended up here in Melbourne, that I now call my home.

As a kid I didn’t do any sports and when I was a teenager, I got more interested by the party side of life. 

You can say that I wasn’t really into health or fitness until at age 22 when I felt that I needed to get healthier and lose a few kgs. I tried a couple of different things like Muay Thai and some running but didn’t really get excited about anything until one of my friends asked me to go and try this CrossFit thing. I was hooked straight away and not really by the training part but by the community. So basically, what made me train more back then was the people/friends I’ve met at the CrossFit gym haha.

When I started CrossFit I literally started from scratch I was uncoordinated, had bad mobility and no strength. For the first two years I was pretty much just working with the most basic stuff and didn’t add weights to the barbell.

In 2015 I did my first CrossFit competition as a team and I was sold It made me so motivated to be better and work even harder not to be the one finishing last.

What I struggled the most back then was that I never really believed in myself and didn’t have the confidence in myself. I didn’t really know what I was doing so I started to educate myself with different books, podcasts and attended seminars just to learn how to become a better athlete. I’ve basically done a lot of testing with myself and some things haven’t work as well as others, but I feel like my failures has thought me the most and I wouldn’t be the coach/athlete I am today without those setbacks.

I always loved food ever since I was a kid and having 3 siblings made me a super-fast eater too, if you were slow at dinner the food might have been gone by the time you wanted a refill haha.
